What Is The Act?
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) introduces legal requirements for digital accessibility across the EU. Think of it like GDPR — but for websites, apps, and digital platforms.
The public sector in the EU has been covered by this law since 2019. From 28 June 2025, it becomes enforceable for all private companies with customers in the EU. That includes any business with a website, app, or digital product used in Europe — no matter where you are based.
A proper accessibility audit is no longer optional. It is now essential.
